Which CBD Oil is right for you?

So you have decided to go down the CBD Oil path, whether it be for oain relief, insomnia or for overall wellness, read this and gain the knowledge you need to select the right product for you.

I get asked a particular question often so I figured if people are asking I should probably answer for all of you. The question I am referring to is "Will CBD Oil make me high"? Uhhmmm no, it shouldn't. CBD oil is a medicinal herbal supplement, it has been used for thousands of years as medicine amongst other things, you can read more about it here.

In fact The first documented case of its use dates back to 2800 BC, when it was listed in the Emperor Shen Nung's (regarded as the father of Chinese medicine) pharmacopoeia... crazy huh?

Anyway fun facts aside CBD Oil generally should not have a high THC concentration, unless it is clearly stated of course. It will usually will state something like 50% THC. CBD nowadays will generally either be an isolate, a broad spectrum or Full Spectrum.

So whats the difference?

Isolate:

Generally means it contains CBD.  CBD isolate is a pure form of CBD. It contains no other cannabis plant compounds. It usually comes from plants, which typically contain very low amounts of THC. CBD isolate is a crystal form of CBD, and it is often ground up and sold as a powder. It may also be called CBD crystals. its a good option if you dont like the taste and are not able to tolerate any THC. Adams and Todd independently isolated cannabidiol (CBD) in the 1940's.

Broad Spectrum Cannabidiol

Typically will have very little THC if any. It should contain multiple cannabinoids and terpenes but no detectable THC. Suitable for those wanting to avoid THC, but wanting the benefits of the terpenes.

Full Spectrum:

  • Full-Spectrum CBD & the Entourage Effect:

Full-spectrum CBD is a type of cannabidiol product that includes not only CBD but also a range of other cannabinoids (like CBG and CBN), terpenes, and trace amounts of THC (typically below 0.3%). This combination of compounds works together synergistically, enhancing the therapeutic effects of each component—a phenomenon known as the entourage effect.

What is the Entourage Effect?

The entourage effect is the idea that cannabinoids and terpenes work better together than they do individually. When all these compounds interact, they amplify each other's benefits, potentially providing a more balanced and potent experience compared to CBD isolate, which contains only pure CBD.

Benefits of Full-Spectrum CBD:

  • Enhanced Therapeutic Effects: Due to the presence of multiple cannabinoids and terpenes.
  • Greater Relief for Symptoms: Some users find full-spectrum CBD more effective for conditions like pain, anxiety, and inflammation.
  • Minimal THC Content: Full-spectrum products typically contain less than 0.3% THC, which is not enough to produce a high, but may contribute to the entourage effect.

If you’re looking for a holistic CBD product that maximizes benefits through the entourage effect, full-spectrum CBD is a great option to consider!

So now that you have the information it is time for you to make up your mind on what you believe is right for you , Good luck and happy to answer any questions.
